A fixed point on a longer journey, used to find your bearing before moving on.
You're not meant to stay at a waypoint. You're meant to leave it steadier than you arrived. That's the care we practice — and the name we chose.
A supportive community where people can thrive
Waypoint Cooperative is a clinician-owned mental health practice. Our mission is to empower the people we serve — and the people who work here — toward autonomy and independence through holistic healing.
Clinician-Owned
Every provider holds an ownership stake in the practice. No investor board, no volume quotas — the people delivering your care are the same people accountable for its quality.
Whole-Person Care
Psychiatry, therapy, EMDR, art therapy, and mindfulness under one roof. Your prescriber and therapist are colleagues who actually talk — integrated care with fewer gaps.
Rooted in Torrington
We're based on Main Street and invested in Litchfield County for the long term. Telehealth available across Connecticut. Accepting new clients — no referral needed.
Two ways in
I'm looking for care
Therapy, psychiatry, EMDR, and recovery support — in person in Torrington or by telehealth across Connecticut. Medicare, Medicaid, and most insurance accepted.
See clinical services →I'm a clinician
Clinical supervision, EMDR consultation toward EMDRIA certification, research collaboration, and a cooperative you can join as an owner — not just an employee.
See professional services →What “worker-owned” actually means for you
In most practices, business pressure quietly shapes clinical decisions. Waypoint is organized as a cooperative — the clinicians who see you are the same people who set the policies and own the practice. There's no one above them dictating how your appointment should run.
We built Waypoint because we wanted a practice we'd actually want to work in — and one we'd refer our own families to.
— Erin O'Neil, LCSW · Chief Executive OfficerNo one paints the moon alone.
Someone holds the ladder.
Here, the people holding the ladder own the practice — so nothing stands between you and the people steadying your climb.
